RISE to Win: Community Conversation

Description

Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality (RISE) educates and empowers student-athletes, coaches and sport administrators to stand up for equality and be leaders in discussing and addressing matters of racism, prejudice, diversity and inclusivity within their teams, schools and communities. Hear from a panel of campus and community leaders, athletes and administrators to learn how we can continue to improve the River Falls campus and community. Open to all and hosted by UW-River Falls Athletics. The campus conversation features the following panelists:

• Ron Johnson, Football Analyst, Fox 9; Retired NFL Wide Receiver; former University of Minnesota student-athlete
• Annie Isler, Video Coordinator, Minnesota Lynx; former Carleton College student-athlete
• Rich Melzer, Regional Sports Director at YMCA Twin Cities, Former Professional Basketball Player & Former Student-Athlete at University of Wisconsin-River Falls
• Jason Caballero, Football Student Assistant Coach at University of Wisconsin-River Falls & Former Student-Athlete at University of Wisconsin-River Falls
